About Christine Velasquez

Christine VelasquezChristine D. Velasquez, APR, is the assistant director of Advancement Communications for UF&Shands, the University of Florida Academic Health Center. Before joining UF in 2008, she was the communications director at the Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her work with the chamber, Velasquez assisted a national cancer institute with their development and public relations practices. Velasquez earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Maryland. She is Accredited in Public Relations and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Florida Public Relations Association and the National Association of Professional Women.
