A bonus is that many folks waiting in line find comfort in the company of dogs. And for those who don’t, they can opt for screening by a two-legged operator.

As for the dogs, they love their work — as well as the food, toys and verbal rewards they receive. And after a long day at the office, they get to head home with their handlers.
