Diagnostic imaging is a routine part of veterinary medicine, through which valuable information is gains that contributes directly to the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases and injuries that can affect all types of animals. Dr. Robson Giglio, a clinical assistant professor of diagnostic imaging, will discuss some of his favorite sub-areas of this discipline, including diagnostic imaging in exotic animals, in canine sports medicine and in oncology, and some of the challenges veterinary radiologists face when seeking to obtain optimal images in each of these specialty areas.
