About Nancy Dohn

Nancy DohnNancy Dohn, APR, CHA, is the Director of Communications and Marketing for the UF CTSI, Clinical Translational Science Institute, joining the team in 2009. While new to the CTSI, Dohn previously was employed for 11 years at the UF Health Science Center Office of Communications, first as an event planner/science writer and ultimately as Assistant Director. Previous to joining the CTSI, she served eight years as the Senior Director of Public Relations and Community Development for a regional end-of-life/palliative care provider based in North Florida. Other career highlights include serving as an Adjunct Professor at the UF College of Journalism and Communication, as a correspondent for the Gainesville Sun and the Detroit Free Press and as a freelance writer for numerous magazines and publications. In addition, Dohn has received multiple awards and recognitions from the American Advertising Federation, the American Cancer Society, the Florida Public Relations Association, the American Hospital Association and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association. She earned two degrees from Oregon State University, holds national certification as a program administrator and is an Accredited Public Relations Professional with the Public Relations Society of America.

Oversees the communications, marketing, branding external and internal relations for the CTSI. Produces national news releases and announcements about the activities of the faculty, often in collaboration with other writers covering the College of Medicine, Health Science Center and additional research institutes throughout the university.
