The College of Pharmacy, the oldest college in the Health Science Center, was established in 1923. Today, it is ranked as one of the top colleges of pharmacy in the nation. The college is comprised of five departments: Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy, Pharmacotherapy & Translational Research, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacodynamics, and has research centers for drug discovery, drug interaction research & education, pharmacogenomics and food-drug interaction. In addition to pharmacy research, the college has educational programs enhanced through online technologies to give more students access to earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
